- YAQUI GOLD IS HERE!!!
It would be hard to describe to you all
how excited I am to have "YAQUI GOLD" at last in my
hands. There are those of you (you know who you are) to whom
I owe my undying thanks for your part in seeing this book through
to completion. Okay, well I might as well list a few of you here:
Dave, Loui, Gina, Ron, Linda, Dell, Val. Some of you were instrumental
on the proofreading side, some in the cheering section. I'm sure
I'm missing some of the important ones, but the day has been
so hectic I just can't think straight.
I picked up the books at Consolidated Freightways' terminal today
around two PM. Usually they deliver, but where there were only
1000 books this time and it was going to cost quite a bit extra
for delivery, we opted to go get them ourselves. They are now
safe and sound here at the house and in storage waiting to go
out to all Clint Walker/Kirby Jonas fans.
I feel nothing but humility every time I look at that book cover
to see the name and photo of my longest-living hero next to mine.
Clint Walker. Who would have ever thought? I just got off the
phone with him and his wife tonight, and they are every bit as
excited as I am if not more so. Anyway, the book is here, and
they are disappearing incredibly fast.
As I only ordered 1,000 books this time, I wanted to make sure
my friends had first crack at a copy, so I'm reminding you that
if you wanted a copy now is the time to order. I'll include ordering
information below. Thanks for everything, my friends, and I'll
look forward to hearing from you soon. And PLEASE order soon,
as I cannot promise you any books will be left after the Christmas
season.
